Experience:

Support Manager, Wal-Mart 3rd Shift. (April 2008 – present)

l       Started as Stocker 3rd Shift in April 2008 in the Dairy and Frozen Departments

l       Promoted to In-Stock Supervisor 3rd Shift in March 2009

l       Promoted to Support Manager 3rd Shift in August 2009

United States Army, Reservist called to active duty in Iraq; Logistician, Combat Engineer, Logistics Advisor for Iraqi Battalion Logistics section. (July 1977 - present)

l       Volunteered for Active Duty to serve in Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom from September 2006 through January 2008.

l       Effectively advised and mentored Iraqi Battalion Logistics personnel resulting in increasing the Operational Readiness Assessment level from Level 4 to Level 2. Operational Levels are from 5 to 1, 1 being the best.

l       Disbursed $27,500 of Transitional Public Funds with no discrepancies

l       Trained the Iraqi Battalion to conduct emergency resupply operations resulting in the Battalion being capable of sustaining ongoing combat operations.

Hawk Home & Business Services: Service Company (November 2003 – December 2006)
Lawn Care Division:

l       Sold services to protect and enhance customer lawns in the Jacksonville, FL area.

l       Treated Lawns to enhance the beauty of customer’s lawns.

l       Provided home owners with detail information and best practices to protect and beautify their lawns.

 

Home Renovation Division:

 

l       Sold services to prospective buyers in the area of home renovation projects such as interior & exterior painting, ceramic tiling, home repairs, wind or weather damaged homes, sheetrock repairs, trim installation or repairs.

l       Worked with area Real Estate Investors, Contractors and Sub-contractors to renovate for resale or for rent single family homes.

l       Consulted with area Real Estate Investors in single family homes to help develop cost cutting procedures and by getting repairs completed quickly and correctly.

 

Computer Programming Division:

 

l       Created database software for Jaguar Development a Real Estate Investor Company to teach potential Investors about the business.

l       Designed interactive websites for Jaguar Development Co., to promote and sell company products.

l       Performed recovery services to save or protect company data for area Small Businesses in area

l       Designed and installed in-house Application and Website Servers, to include all wiring and software setup.

Historic Tree Nursery: Network Administrator (Windows based), website administrator/builder, Helpdesk support for company (February 2002 - March 2003)

l       Designed, maintained and periodically upgraded company website.

l       Saved company money by redesigning company server hardware and software to protect efficiently all company data.

l       Signed on Affiliates and provided customer technical assistance for software links on their websites.

l       Provided technical assistance to customers

Tek-Systems (Merrill Lynch):  1st and 2nd Level Helpdesk and Trainer for Finance Advisory Center, Central Asset Client services and Interactive Services (May 2001 – November 2001)

l       Saved company time and money during diagnoses of hardware issues by implementing a cost saving plan that helped diagnose Hard Drive Failures and Error codes prior so that they could be repaired instead of replaced.

l       Provided 2nd Level training to team members so that they could also perform 2nd Level onsite repairs without going outside of the department, which saved the department money.

Jones College: Assistant Network Administrator, Website designer, Lab Instructor (February 2000 – March 2001)

l       Saved college money by implementing and carrying out a plan to provide all labs and Networked Servers on uninterruptible power generator

l       Performed on site helpdesk support for three campuses, 2 in Jacksonville, Florida and 1 in Miami, Florida.

l       Responsible for 2 each Terminal Servers, Distance Learning Server, 3 each Novel 4.12 Servers, 3 each Unix Servers (DNS), 1 NT Server, Web Server and several Switches and Hubs throughout entire campus.

SDI LeGrand Publishing, Inc.: Certified Novel Administrator, Information Systems Manager, Lucent Technologies systems Manager, Help Desk Support and Marketing Analyst. (September 1995 – December 1999)

l       Provided state of the art telemarketing data for Telemarketing Department to increase sales

l       Managed all company computer systems, protected data, and upgraded periodically all systems to include all virus detection software to protect company data.

l       Provided Marketing Analysis reports to the Marketing Department to increase effectiveness of advertising and sales.

 

Education:

High School Graduate (1975)

Central Texas College, Florida Community College, Jones College and University of Maryland – General Studies which included a number of Computer Programming classes. 

 

Programming Skills: Visual Basic, Visual Studios, COBOL, HTML, XML, FoxPro (Database), Report Writer, UNIX, LINUX and Marketing Analysis Software.  Certified Novel Administrator, A+ training, Web Server and Application Servers design and installation, LAN and WAN design and installation, Wireless Hardware and Fiber installation. 

 

Other Skills: Type 50 wpm, key 35 kpm, able to communicate effectively with peers, subordinates and supervisors alike.  I have strong customer service skills in dealing with customer related problems.  Clean driving record, no felonies or misdemeanors’ and 100% drug free.
